Load Haul Dump Machine
The Load Haul Dump Machine is a compact and powerful underground loader designed to handle heavy-duty mining operations. With overall dimensions of 6870 mm in length, 1600 mm in width, and 2100 mm in height, it is well-suited for narrow underground tunnels. The operating weight stands at 9500 kg, while the total loaded weight reaches up to 12,500 kg, ensuring robust performance under load.
In terms of performance, the Scooptram offers a rated loading capacity of 3000 kg, with a bucket volume ranging between 1.5 and 1.8 cubic meters. The dumping height is adaptable, offering options at 1325 mm and 2100 mm. When traveling on level ground, the vehicle achieves forward speeds of 7 km/h (1st gear), 12.5 km/h (2nd), 21 km/h (3rd), and up to 35 km/h (4th). Reverse speeds reach 14 km/h in 1st gear and 25 km/h in 2nd. With a gradeability of ≥16° and a maximum traction force of 57 kN, the Scooptram is built for demanding terrain.
The body of the Load Haul Dump Machine features a central articulated structure and a welded steel frame, with the bucket blade and frame made of high-strength wear-resistant alloy steel, offering excellent resistance to wear and shear. The body swing angle is ±10°, and both the hydraulic oil tank and cabin are securely bolted to the main frame.
Powering the unit is a YTO LR4A3M-22 engine with a rated output of 81 kW at 2200 rpm and a peak torque of 350 Nm at 1600 rpm. This water-cooled, turbocharged engine complies with China’s Tier II emission standards and uses CAN-bus control for efficient engine management.
The drivetrain includes a SHANTUI YJ315 torque converter paired with a SHANTUI BYD2206 hydraulic-mechanical transmission system. Drive is provided through a rigid planetary axle (model CY36S by YUNYU), equipped with multi-disc wet brakes to ensure responsive and reliable stopping power. Both the rims and tires are sized at 12.00-20, suitable for rugged underground conditions.
Operational control is made easy via a hydraulic pilot control system, operated using a pilot handle. The steering system adopts a central articulated layout with two double-acting cylinders, offering a steering angle of ±40°, an internal turning radius of approximately 2890 mm, and an external turning radius near 5080 mm. The system operates at 120 bar with a steering cycle time of 4.3 seconds, using components from CHANJIANG SICHUAN and DEHONG.
The bucket hydraulic system is composed of one lifting and one tilting cylinder, also controlled via a pilot handle. System pressure reaches 180 bar, and the total work cycle time is 6.4 seconds. Like the steering system, it uses core components supplied by CHANJIANG SICHUAN and DEHONG for consistent and reliable hydraulic performance.
Braking is achieved through a hydraulic system featuring spring-applied, hydraulically released multi-disc wet brakes. A central brake is available as an option for enhanced safety. Electrical power is provided by a 100Ah system, while fuel and hydraulic oil tanks each hold 110 liters to support extended operation.
Additional optional features for the Load Haul Dump Machine include remote control capability, anti-slip protection chains, a centralized lubrication system, and an automatic fire suppression unit. These configurations enhance safety, reduce manual maintenance, and improve adaptability in various underground working conditions.
